WHILE GTHINGBASKETBALL WAS IN ATLANTA,GA WE STOP PAST ST.FRANCIS HIGH SCHOOL TO CHECK OUT SOME OF THE AREA'S TOP PLAYERS TO REALLY FIND OUT WHAT ALL THE HYPE WAS ABOUT IN THE DIRTY SOUTH.

Kasiyahna Kushkituahk (Class of 2017)

The 6'4 sophomore is going to be a star at the next level, she might be one of the best player across the state to play with her back to the basket. Still growing, she doesn't look like the athlete type, but Kasiyahna is that. Very aggressive, the St. Francis Super Sophomore has tons of offers starting with South Carolina, Louisville, Virginia etc.

Abby Grant - "2015" This sharp shooter has already committed to Syracuse, she done that as a sophomore which most young athlete's are scared to do since they are trying to get a feel for things to see what the the next level will be like, but not grant she told Gthing that when she went to visit the school her mind was set. Abby will help the "Big Orange" in there outside shooting game which they haven't had in a long time.

Nichel Tampa - "2017" The speedster of the bunch should provided some help at scoring from the outside to help Grant spread the floor. Tampa who sees the floor well can score with ease because of her quickness she has the ability to be able to do big things once she realizes the talent that she has. Tampa is flying just a little low under the radar right now, but she says that this season should be a breakout one for her.

Taja Cummings - "2017" The leader and the floor general of the team, Cummings who is on ESPN'S Girl's Top 100 watch list said she cant wait till the season jumps off so she can do her thing. Gthing didn't know that was her when we walked in the gym, because of all the talk we thought Taja was a big guard, but when we  asked her about her size her coach step in and said Cummings just plays bigger then she looks, the point guard is nursing her leg right now but should be back with St. Francis for the season opener.

Also for this year St. Francis has two Volleyball stars on the team, Yasmeen Ratliff who is a 6'4 junior and 6'3 Alexis Ratliff who is a freshman, both sister's provide them with some size and height, they are the daughters of Ex-NBA star Theo Ratliff so you they are still growing. The Lady Knight's also have sophomore Maya Dodson who is 6'0 and very athletic and one point in practices she stop in grab the rim with two hands off the vertical. In there is freshman Jayla Jordan who is 5"11 in athletic also, she has good ball handling skills and can 1 thru 3 position.

JAHSYNI KNIGHT: RUTGERS PREP HIGH SCHOOL

JAHSYNI KNIGHT (CLASS OF 2018)

This is someone who definitely deserve to have been in the J.E.M All Star game, Gthing didn't know nothing about her or her game until the Rose Classic a few weeks ago. Master Your Craft told us about Jahsyni, he said she was solid in that we need to stick around before heading back to New Jersey in watch the young stud play. After watching the first half, we were all convince that the baller could handle her own in the Big Apple. Gthing Basketball will be following the Perth Amboy New Jersey resident who attends Rutgers Prep, Knight's AAU Team is the Philadelphia Belles, who team is loaded with a bunch of talent.

JERSEY SHORE ELITE (JSE) AAU TRYOUTS.

Jersey Shore Elite (JSE) AAU Basketball Organization
is excited to add High School age teams to its program beginning in the spring of 2015!

Workouts are at St. John Vianney High School: 540-A Line Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733
Tuesday Oct 7 6:30-8:30pm
Saturday Oct 11 2-4pm \

Please bring water, a basketball and wear a shirt or reversible that has your name on it. If you do not have one, please wear a shirt that has a number on it.

We are extremely excited to be joining the Jersey Shore Elite AAU Organization and establishing their high school programs.
These programs are intended for those girls that aspire to play at the D1 college level. We look forward to adding to the list of 23 D1 scholarship players that we have coached over the last 5 years (schools include Villanova, Colgate, UPenn, American, Lehigh, Fordham, St Francis NY and many others).

Our coaching staff is very experienced and very well respected by the college coaching community which is a vital element in the recruiting process. We will play the best competitions in the country, and that will likely include trips to Richmond, Va, Chicago IL and Washington DC among other destinations.

We stress TEAM BASKETBALL. We will not be the most athletic or flashiest team in a tournament, but we will out work, out hustle and out smart our opponents. We have witnessed the benefits that TEAM BASKETBALL brings in many pressure situations over the years; that TEAM component is what takes us successfully through the peaks and valleys of badly refereed, overly physical, emotionally draining contests that are inevitably a part of every high level AAU season.

Expect to be challenged as we strive to improve both your skills and your mental toughness on the court both in practices and in the games. Expect to contribute to the development of your teammates as well. And, finally, expect to to have fun, and to find that contentedness that results from knowing you gave 110% of yourself to the process. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any thoughts or concerns.
Thank you so much. :) Let's do this!!

JSE is interested in players that want to work to be great! Not everyone can be 6’8”. Not everyone can jump out of the gym. But everyone can make the conscious choice to work on and to improve these 44 traits of great players (in no particular order).
